Certification as a commercial or public applicator is required when pesticides (e.g., chlorine, bromine, algaecide) are being applied to public swimming pools in Pennsylvania. You must pass both the Core & Category 24 (Swimming Pools) exams.
The PA Department of Agriculture is no longer scheduling exams with us (effective May 2026).
