Certification as a commercial or public applicator is required when pesticides (e.g., chlorine, bromine, algaecide) are being applied to public swimming pools in Pennsylvania.
Your registration fee includes (2) textbooks, Core & Category 24, one day of instruction and Core & Category 24 exams. Testing will take place in two sessions on the second day of class (9:00-12:00 and 1:00-4:00). Your testing session will be assigned once your registration has been processed.
- Day 1: B&R experts will conduct a review of the Core & Category 24 (Swimming Pool) books.
- Day 2: You have 3 hours to complete both exams. Testing slots (9:00 – 12:00, 1:00 – 4:00) are limited to 10 students each, and will be assigned once your registration is processed.
- Certification requires the passing of 2, 50-question, closed-book exams. Advance self-study is required.
- Exams are graded in Harrisburg, and it can take upwards of 4-6 weeks to receive your results.
Note: This class is only for those individuals who do NOT currently hold a Pesticide Applicator license.
